This webinar is designed for people who work with adults living with dementia (healthcare professionals, family caregivers or care partners, first responders, etc.). It is led by an Occupational Therapist and Certified Dementia Practitioner who has advanced training in sensory processing/integration.

The webinar will help learners understand how to use a sensory informed approach to support the needs of adults living with dementia, whether that be in their home, community, or care facility. Learners will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge using case study examples.

It will provide a basic overview of the 8 sensory systems, sensory processing/integration, and why this topic is relevant for older adults living with dementia. This webinar will help learners get curious about the unique sensory needs of older adults and understand how to increase levels of engagement/connection using a sensory-based approach.

There will be a 10-minute Q&A session at the end of the webinar with an opportunity to submit questions using the chat function.
