EmphaSize November 2023: Sensory Awareness

By Sensory Integration Education, 1 November 2023

Sensory Awareness

Welcome to the November issue of EmphaSIze! Last month was Sensory Awareness Month, which reminds us of the significance of sensory processing differences.

Sensory processing holds importance in our daily activities, encompassing essential tasks like dressing, eating, moving, socialising, learning, and working. We are all individuals and so everyone experiences variations in sensory processing. But for some individuals, these distinctions can pose difficulties in engaging in everyday tasks.

In this month's issue, we've included lots of useful information, articles and resources to help raise our awareness and understanding of sensory processing.

News & Features

We've Launched a New Service for Parents and Carers!

We are thrilled to introduce Sensory Help Now, a dedicated platform providing resources for parents and carers of children dealing with sensory processing differences. At SIE, we understand the challenges some families experience that come with lengthy waiting lists and considerable travel to access specialised therapists. Sensory Help Now offers a convenient way for families to access timely information as they continue their search for personalised, in-person support.
